child/neuro physiotherapy in Doha??
By hannah981 on Tue, 03/11/2009 - 3:03pmHiya!
Im a neuro/paediatric physio who's fairly new to Doha and am really struggling to find work. My husband has a job here but I am going nuts sitting around waiting for him to come home! I started off thinking I wanted to work in a school - but the Shafallah put the phone down on me! Then I considered hospitals - but hearing that I wouldnt be paid enough in a month to fund my groceries put me off, so I'm going down the private physio route. Does anyone know of any people out there needing my services? I would be very grateful to be pointed in the right direction or if anyone has any suggestions...!
Many thanks

childrens physiotherapy
By hannah981 on Thu, 13/08/2009 - 3:52pmHi,
I am a British physiotherapist living in Doha that specialises in care of children with special needs such as down syndrome, cerebral palsy and motor delay. Does anyone know of any establishments that specialise in the treatment and management of children with physical difficulties? The Shafallah Centre is not an option for me as I'm not Qatari and the other places like the Learning Centre and Sunbeam dont seem to provide physiotherapy. I would appreciate your help, Im sure there must be children out there in need of pysiotherapy?
Kind regards
For your information, it is located in Doha, Farig Al-Nasr, Al-Kinana Stree, behind Toys-R-Us. It provides OB/GYN, urology, dermatology and physiotherapy services.

"Can Obama Bring Back My Mother, Life?"
By Jack78 on Sat, 25/04/2009 - 2:55pmLAHORE — Watching the news about US President Barack Obama's decision to close down Guantanamo within a year did not bring a smile on the face of Mohammad Saad Iqbal.
It rather reminded the 31-year-old Pakistani of the hellish days he endured in the notorious detention center and how that many innocent people would still have to do that for more 365 long days.
"Obama has given one more year to brutal interrogators to torture innocent people," Iqbal, released last August, told IslamOnline.net in an exclusive interview in his family's home in Lahore.
Gitmo in Focus
The US has been holding hundreds of detainees at Guantanamo, opened in 2002, for years, branding them unlawful enemy combatants to deny them legal rights under the US legal system.
Nurse who Saved Baby Girl’s Life
By nicaq25 on Sun, 01/02/2009 - 3:23pmSHARJAH - “She is an angel. My family is grateful to her. I want to thank her in front of the world,” Egyptian mother Nermine Salah said about Indian nurse Aleyamma Mathew, who saved the life of her 16-month-old daughter Dima.
Being a health professional working in a paediatric clinic, what Aleyamma did to save her neighbour’s child may be nothing extraordinary. But the circumstances offered her an unusual opportunity to literally give the kiss of life to the motionless, breathless baby earlier in January.
“It was the worst experience in my life. I had never undergone such a painful situation,” Nermine recalled the day on which she thought she had lost Dima.
where could I get a treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage and exercise (physiotherapy).

My friend is a highly qualified and very experienced Clinical Specialist in Physiotherapy (UK hospitals and Private Practice) .
Any idea who she should contact for a job in Qatar?
