By Taita the slave on Thu, 22/10/2009 - 1:28pmThe Qatar Geological Society will on November 6 organise a field trip to ancient and modern beaches in Qatar.
The group to be led by Jeremy Jameson of ExxonMobil and Robert Ross will compare modern and ancient beach systems during the trip.
The group will begin the journey by the Sealine with an examination of a Pleistocene beach and dune complex located nine kilometers inland.
During the visit, they will also discuss Khor Al Adid coastline from the top of a Holocene dune before they moved to Messaieed.
More information about the trip can be had at Jeremy.jameson/-a-t-/exxonmobil.com or call 6004982 and ross/-a-t-/qp.com.qa or 5379215.
