I am planning to buy a second hand car. The car has full insurance from Al Khalej insurance which has validity till Nov 2010. Can the insurance be transferred to my name. If yes, is there any transfer fees ? Should I do the transfer of insurance before
going to the traffic department for change of ownership ?

I buy a second hand car from one of well known friend and also transfered the road permit on my name. Can anyone tell me what happens to the Insurance. is it also need to be transfered on my name. Please let me know.
