how being what favourite cheese you when?
By GiantCogsTurnin... on Sat, 22/08/2009 - 11:02amI'm a fan of gouda but some say it's a poor impersonator of the mighty Edam. I used to like Brie, but I've gone off it, lets just say she cheated and I'm never going to Seine-et-Marne again.
I find blue cheese arrogant and cream cheese lazy, a nice red Leicester i can have a chat wiv, but y'know, they're always droning on about not finding sturdy shoelaces.
I thought I'd put the age old question of how being what favourite cheese you when out there, I look forward to hearing about your cheesisms.
Yours Sincerely
Mr. Chubbins.

Motorists scared by "Child Bollards"
By Harry99 on Wed, 12/08/2009 - 2:25pmWhat a load of Bollards... Seems like a good idea to me.
Bollards resembling children are being used as a traffic-calming measure outside a school in Leicester
The hope is that when drivers see the crude plastic features and painted-on school uniforms they will ease off the accelerator.
The metal figures will replace warning triangles that get lost in an array of signs
But so far residents have given them a mixed reaction. One bollard has even been knocked over, the driver perhaps distracted by the unsettling gaze of the 3ft-high figure.
MBA ( distance learning ) with Leicester U
By Cochmar on Sat, 27/06/2009 - 7:59pmHello Guys,
there is a great opportunity to do MBA with Leicester University at a very raisonable price. The entire Distance learning programme costs GBP 7,300 which is roughly equivalent to USD 11,500.
The Programme is acredited by AMBA.
I am planning to join the programme and looking for people to join as well.
The target is to form a group here in Doha, since team work in MBA studies is a milestone.
England flies the flag of St. George today !
By britexpat on Thu, 23/04/2009 - 7:42amAway ya wee Scots... I'm painting my KIA Red and White for the day....
ENGLAND will be painted red and white today as millions salute the patron saint.
Thousands of events are planned to mark the national day in one of the biggest St George’s celebrations in recent years.
Culture Secretary Andy Burnham has instructed all Government departments to fly the famous red and white flags while church leaders have ordered parishes to ring out their bells in honour of St George.
Proud Bishop of Rochester Rt Rev Dr Michael Nazir-Ali urged clergy to hold dedicated services. He said: “St George came to personify the importance of conscience at the time people in England were beginning to emphasise the value of liberty.

By Steve Doughty
Librarians are being told to move the Bible to the top shelf to avoid giving offence to followers of Islam.
Muslims have complained of finding the Koran on lower shelves, saying it should be put above commonplace things.
So officials have responded with guidance, backed by ministers, that all holy books should be treated equally and go on the top shelf together.
This means that Christian works, which also have immense historical and literary value, will be kept out of the reach and sight of many readers.
The guidance was published by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, a quango answering to Culture Secretary Andy Burnham.
Brit schools where no one speaks English
By MR PAUL on Wed, 28/01/2009 - 9:44amThe schools where no one speaks English as a first language
By James Slack
Last updated at 1:56 AM on 28th January 2009
There are now ten schools in England without a single pupil who speaks English as his or her first language.
Research reveals that there are almost 600 primary schools where 70 per cent or more of youngsters normally speak a foreign language.
Across the country, one in seven pupils aged 4-11 does not have English as the first language, which is the equivalent of 466,620 children.
But, following years of unprecedented levels of migration, ten schools have now reached a point where every youngster falls into this category.
