Last call

After several last minute reprieves, time is finally running out for the dogs and cats still at Dohavets: the boarding facility is fully booked over Eid so they can no longer be housed there. QAWS is overflowing. Unless a solution can be found, several of the dogs face euthanasia. This is the very last thing anyone involved wants, but what is the alternative? These dogs have been hard to place. All are beautiful, intelligent creatures, but, due to their history of being abused and scared, cannot be considered well socialized.
Chassay was found several months ago, guarding her puppies in the most appalling conditions. She's wary with strangers and other dogs.

Flat to Rent in Al Sadd Area

I wanted to see if anyone knows of a flat(either a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom flat in the Al Sadd area) for rent to individual tenants versus for a company?

I would prefer to stay in the Al Sadd area, but even some place close to this area would be OK.

If you know of any apartment block with a reasonable rent, please let me know.

Cheers & thanks!

Where is the nearest public library from Al Sadd?

Would appreciate receiving information on the locations of public libraries in Doha / Al Khor.

Flowers - Cheap and Nice

Where is there a good & cheap flower shop - I used to use Gerbera between Al Sadd & Sports round-about but they are not there any more.

Anyone know where Gerbera Flowers went?

It used to be between Al Sadd and Sports round-about but moved this summer. It was the best and cheapest I had found in Doha.

Qatar Football league kicks off tonight (Gharafa, Sadd start as favourites)

Defending champions Al Gharafa and runners-up Al Sadd start as the big title favourites in the second editon of Qatar Stars League which kicks off tomorrow. The country’s top 12 clubs compete under proper home and away format, adopting new rule that allows them to field only four foreign players at a time.
Al Gharafa will have a league hat-trick on their mind when they begin their title defense with a match against Al Khor. Before that Al Rayyan host Qatar Sports Club in the opening match of this season.
Al Gharafa, coached by Marcos Paqueta, won championships in the past two seasons. Paqueta has since moved to rivals Al Rayyan, with another Brazilian Caio Junior taking charge of the Al Gharafa hot seat.

Swimming for women

Hi Guys, are there any swimming pools that can accommodate women on separate timings? My wife and her friend wants to join one, if possible near Al Sadd area or anywhere closer.
Thanks
