So I headed to the industrial area with a certain amount of dread after all the stories I had heard about how hard and painful it is to get your technical inspection done.

To my surprise it was an easy and straight forward experience.

Getting there. Head up Al Waab to the Industrial turnoff. Go left at this round-about and head down the industrial road. All the streets are on you left and there are small signs just back from the corners with the street numbers on them.

I have got couple of offers from Qatar, and they have requested me to sent my documents (Certificates and Passport copy scanned ) for verification and i did the same as said.
Now i have accepted an offer and requested the company to to procure work visa. I came to know that there is already a visa was issued on my name.
Now it is very difficult for me to know who acquired visa on my name and why, without my consent, what is the status of that visa.
This making my situation more frustrated.
As already i resigned my present employment and i was stuck in unexpected situations of new offerings.
Can anyone helps me in this regards. please i need your expertise in solving this situation.

Hello I am new to this forum and found alot of the advice in these forums to be very helpful.

I am in a little bit of a pickle and I wonder if any one on the forum can offer me some suggestions.

I have been working in Dubai the past few years. About a year ago I changed jobs to a company that was BAD NEWS.

To make a long story short they were not paying my salary and housing and they owe me a lot of money. So I have a case with the UAE Ministry of Labour open at the moment.

I have recently been offered a VERY GOOD job in Doha.However I have some money on my credit cards in Dubai that needs to be paid.

I'm Italian and I'm 30, could somebody give me any suggestion please, like the salary I'd be supposed to ask according to my position.

So, internet, wonderfull thing eh? Allowed me to find this very usefull forum!

So, i'm moving to a new project in Doha and will be there for 6 to 12 months. Now, I can't stand cars. I fall asleep behind the wheel when doing lessons - no joke, i have! So many years ago I tried motor bikes and love em. I've now been riding for well over 10 years - all of it on 600cc+ supersports and have an excellent record (read: zero points on my UK license, full no claims).

I have been doing some reading of this forum and I understand that people seem to have a very "unsafe" view of bikes, or rather car drivers, in Doha however, I will examine the risk once I get there.

So, the question is, to import a bike or buy one should I chose to ride in Doha?

Im currently in Kuwait and would like to get to know people who moved from Kuwait to Qatar ...and their views on Qatar life.

These discussions would really be valuable to us since we are planing to reallocate to Qatar soon if all goes well.What are the things we should be looking forward to if we move to Qatar, and also some negative areas you have experienced.
