*Mind Your Internet Manners*
By t_coffee_or_me on Sun, 13/04/2008 - 8:03pmJust as in your real everyday life, manners are important on the Internet as
well. Although it may seem like you can say anything to anybody for any
reason (and you can, actually), there may still be repercussions to such
actions. Getting slammed (or spammed) with angry emails will be the likely
response from many, or you may be barred from your favorite chat room. You can save yourself a large amount of grief if you follow a few simple rules.

Authentic Spanish PAELLA (Vol. 2)
By greentea on Sat, 11/10/2008 - 5:03pmThe volume 1 "AUTHENTIC SPANISH PAELLA IN DOHA" authored by Bennis, as you can see has reached 3 pages and the original author had long vanished somewhere, I assume coz he never posted in the thread again. Since some QL members are still interested in the PAELLA FEVER and we're hoping that we'll get the interest of others too and finally somebody to invite and cook for us paella fans, let's start a new volume here. But for your reference, here is the link to vol. 1: http://www.qatarlivi...

New In Doha, Qatar
By ekimCPA on Sat, 11/10/2008 - 2:19pmHi everyone,
This may sound another familiar topic for you guys but I hope to get some kind and accomodating response.
I am new in Doha, Qatar. It's my first time in the Middle East region and I arrived here in Doha only last October 6.
I am a Filipino, male, 29 years old and working as an Accountant. Is it normal to feel awkward and afraid to go out and move around?
The reason is that during my second night here in Doha, I went outside at around 7pm to buy some groceries and as I am walking, two male arabs (presumed from their looks and dress) in an SUV stopped and motioning with their hands that they want me to get inside their car while saying something in a language which I did not understand.
Now, I feel hesitant to go out.

Joke Of The Day
By johny_boiei on Sat, 11/10/2008 - 8:35am------------------------
Caller: "Hello, is this Tech Support?"
Tech: "Yes, it is. How may I help you?"
Caller: "The cup holder on my PC is broken and I am within my warranty period.
How do I go about getting that fixed?"
Tech: "I'm sorry, but did you say a cup holder?"
Caller: "Yes, it's attached to the front of my computer."
Tech: "Please excuse me if I seem a bit stumped. It's because I am.
Did you receive this as part of a promotional, at a trade show? How did you get this cup holder? Does it have any trademark on it?"
Caller: "It came with my computer, I don't know anything about a promotional.
It just has '4X' on it. “At this point the Tech Rep had to mute the caller, because
he couldn't stand it. The caller had been using the load drawer of the CD-ROM
