Qatari Culture

Here what happens in some shops
By Khalid the tiger on Thu, 05/11/2009 - 1:28pmAnd what happens is that many filipina work in some shops where DVD or restaurants or any other shop give the Qatari a normal look and being nice smiling (This very good because the seller should be nice to sell the items in the shop) and the Qatari may smile and say thanks after buying the item.
On the other hand some filipina will smile and say hi habibi (love) because she see this Qatari more than one time and then this Qatari will think that she wants him, and he will run after her and think badly, but this Qatari should know all filipina are the same.
Some Qatari will not pay any attention and just leave normally or tell her please do not see habibi, and will explain to her that habibi is to be said for husband or boyfriend but not for some one you do not know.

Good Samaritans.....Good Policemen!
By DMD481 on Tue, 03/11/2009 - 10:08pmI got flat tyre around half past 1pm today along the long road from Landmark Mall to Dafna area. These two Policemen, without any questions and hesitations, changed my car's tyre. I'm posting this so everyone will know that kindness regardless of race, religion, color, gender, profession, etc., will always prevail at times of emergency situations like this. May God bless them.

Tourism in Doha
By precog on Sat, 31/10/2009 - 5:10pmHello everyone,
I'm currently doing my 2nd year of masters in Canada, my research topic is about the attitudes of residents towards tourism development in Doha. Ive been looking around for blogs related to this topic but couldnt fnd anything, thought I'd start one myself.
This is extremely important to me and I only have one month to gather information. So feel free to comment on anything you want regarding this subject. Maybe ur opinions about impacts of tourism development on the society, environment. whether its beneficial or not to the economy or to yourself, and so on. Anything down those lines would be great...
(Just for the record noones user name will be refered to once the information is gathered)
Thank you.

Parenting
By progression on Fri, 23/10/2009 - 5:51amParenting is an opportunity to show your worth because this is the time you can "transfer" all what you've got in your entire living here on earth. Whether we agree or not, our being is a product of who, what, how,and why that influenced us.
Parenting is a life long obligation, a golden responsibility, perfect opportunity, or anything you you may add. In parenting we are building lives. In parenting we mistakenly destroy lives also, unintentional of course.
The irony of ironies is that, there is no school for parents.
When can you say your parental role started and ends? How can you say that you are successful in rearing your children? What do you think is the best way of parenting? Can you tell me the goal, the ultimate goal of parents?

tinted cars
By pigrah on Thu, 22/10/2009 - 11:45amI got a question for all of u, i dont know if i should put it here or not but im just curious..
I used to hate being stuck in traffic back home, 10 mins would seem like forever to me but here I enjoy it coz i get to see a lot of luxurious cars which i see rarely in our country. I would take a peek of whos driving it, who s/he's driving it with, all that kinds of stuff.
As I have observed, theres not a lof of tinted cars around. Well maybe i saw only at least 3 cars thats been pimped.
Thinking about Qatari culture, of how conservative they are, malicious(somewhat--no offense) and most of all considering the climate, isnt it better for the owners to have thier rides tinted? or is it also haram to do so.
