Obtaining Makasa / Maqasa for Car Export
By fgregory on Thu, 24/09/2009 - 2:26pmI need to export my car to UAE and understand that I need to obtain a Makasa/Maqasa (not sure of exact spelling).
The car is less than 3 years old and I can obtain the customs documents from the car dealer.
Can someone explain where and how I can get the makasa and do I need an agent to help me or can I do it myself? I have many arabic speaking friends who can help me if required
Many thanks
Dealer offers free Kalashnikov with every car
By britexpat on Mon, 20/07/2009 - 7:35amMY kind of guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Missouri car dealer has taken a novel approach to combating the fall in US vehicle sales by offering a free Kalashnikov assault rifle with every truck, whether new or used.
Mark Muller, whose business slogan is "God, Guns, Guts, and American Pick-Up Trucks", said he had been overwhelmed by the response.
"It's extremely successful. There is a lot of worry about crime, we have a methamphetamine problem around here and people just want to protect themselves," said the boss of Max Motors near Kansas City. "And what could be better than supporting American products in these troubled times?"

Who scratch my new car?
By loveless143 on Fri, 03/07/2009 - 12:00amI just want to know if anyone has experience as somebody out there intentionally going around scratching new cars with either a key or nail.
This has happen to me a couple of days back…I DON’T HAVE A FLASH CAR ….but a normal new car……I spoke to group of my friends who asked some of their friends and out of them 5 said that they have experience the same situation. One of them had….. From the back to the front of his brand new Land Rover with a huge key scratch……..intentionally done….
I don’t think the insurance company will pay for this but according to the car dealer….it is going to cost me……
I would like a recommended used car dealer - please try and give a name and address and not just list those on Salwa Road.
I have already had a bad experience with Arab Gulf - DON'T BOTHER WITH THAT COMPANY. If it wasn't for a very helpful Egyptian dialect speaking colleague I would have been 1000 Riyals down (more if I had left the deposit they wanted)!

Planning to buy a used car. But cant afford to pay the entire amount in one short. Banks are not ready to give loans for my salary.
Does anyone know if any car dealer accept payment by credit card?
