Visas and Permits

Hi all,

I am very much confused about these visa types I hear from different people please let me know if they exists or not and what is difference between them. How I know which visa I am currently holding?

Visa Types are-

-Visit Visa
-Tourist Visa
-Family Sponsored Visa

I heard that some visa are issued at airport where as others at ministry of interior (immigration dept). Airport visa (1 month one) cannot be extended but those issued at
MOI can be extended, am I correct?

Please let me know difference between them?

My name is Ahmed.My profession is Electrical Engineer employed in an private organization in Doha, Qatar for more than a year now. Recently, I have been selected in an government organization here in Doha for the post of Senior Electrical Engineer. But i am not sure whether my current sponsor will be able to provide me with the NOC as I understand the requirement here for switching off the jobs from one sponsor to another sponsor. Kindly advice me with the appropriate solution and your advices will be highly important and advisable as this will shape up my future career please.
Also please clarify the following:

Hello all, I just got an offer to work in Doha.

In the offer letter, it mentioned that I must provide the following:-

1) Medical Certificate (by institutions appointed by the Qatar Embassy) mentioning that you fit for Employment. Where can I go about doing this in KL (its not mentioned in the embassy website)??

2)Police Clearance certificate attested from Qatar Embassy. I've filled the form but am unsure of who to get to support the Good Conduct Letter -did you guys go to your headmaster or a government officer??

3)Is it true that you must actually go to the Qatar Embassy personally to get the Letter of Good COnduct Attested??

وإذا كنت ترسل طلب إلى الأمير وأقول له أنا العربي التقليدي من التراث السعودي الذي يحب الثقافة العربية من الخليج والدين الإسلام وأنا لا ترتبط مع ثقافة الغرب لكن ولدت في أمريكا من الآباء العربية

i just got few questions, very appreciate if anybody can help!!

1) if i would resign before end of my probation time, do i get trouble in case of blocking from further work in qatar for 2 years? not sure!)

2) how long can i stay in qatar after my resignation without any sponsor?

3) if i go for interview in B company and they employ me, but i'm still the employee of A company, what can i do?? ( i get my working visa from A company,but no id yet)

4) after my resignation, how long do i need to wait to join another company??

5) for example, if i resign in November, and i go out of qatar for vacation, can i enter qatar again in December??

6) after my resignation, do i still need the exit permit for going out of qatar?

Please give me idea how many times is the transfer of sponsorship (working visa).

I heard from a friend that we can only transfer our sponsorship up to three (3) times... how true is that???

is there other on QL that are still waiting for a visa to be issue.

i have been waiting since early september and have still not heard anything.

my company keeps telling me that it's because of ramadan and eid ther processing of visa are slow.

is this true?

I am working under one sponser and I am getting salary 3200QR. My wife is also working in doha working under another sponser her salary is 2100. we brought my child under visiting visa for 6month. Now I would apply for Resident Permit for my daughter. Can I get Resident permit for my daughter? Is it any problem for working in different sponser? What problem will come to get RP for child? what Document We should collect for child resident permit? Please explain

I have signed my offered letter for CBQ on 16th of august.....they said they have applied for visa .....can anyone tell me how long it is going to take for visa processing???......is it advisable to resign from my current job before getting visa in hand frm CBQ since i wish to go down for a short break to my home country before joining doha........please advise ...???

I'm going to Qatar shortly to visit a relative and was thinking about checking out job opportunities while I was there. In Norway I work as a photographer in my own company, and want to know if there's any was to get a work Visa for self-employment or do you always need a sponsor to provide for you?
