I saw a rat on the road near the garbage bin yesterday and i am afraid that it will go inside our villa.

Is there a bait available in the market for rat?
Ive gone to carrefour but i did not found any.

i met this mr nice guy on my 6th month here in doha we stay together as a great friend. he gonna leave on the end of the month and he suddenly change this last few week... he totally rejects me... my calls and messages too.i thought i did something wrong so i send a flower right infront on his doorstep and some of petals that i had scattered there too. im trying to reach him but i failed. still, i havent got any answer from all those confusing questions i had. i am completely lost for i do in real thankful for all the time he had given me. no matter how he tries to push me.... was it a right to know what is hapopening with him or should i stop asking.... i couldnt stand the pain of loosing someone without even saying goodbye....:( his silence... i did break easily...

After few minutes of being connected to the internet, playing an online game ROHAN, i get disconnected. the wifi router is thomson. previously, the router was not thomson, and getting disconnected never happen. can you please help...

Does anyone experience some internet disconnection today?
or facing some issues with YM or skype?? my internet connection gets disconnection for a minute then again it is connected.this happens 5x today..tried calling qtel 111 but lost my patience in waiting for 10mins....

I just wanted to inform you all that never use DHL to ship your goods specially from UK to Qatar. They just lost my Iphone 16gb 3gs which cost me around 3000 riyals to get it shipped from there. Apparently some of their own guys stole it and they claim that they lost it in the transit. Now how come a package that can be traced online be lost just like that?

Furthermore they are not going to give you anything back other than the shipping charges plus a 100 dollars which does not even constitute a third of my total cost.

Therefore I advise you all to use any other courier service other than DHL, because if you are getting expensive packages shipped, they are most probably gonna intentionally loose them and then give you just a 100 dollars back.

on 21st of july 09 my husband got a traffic violation for wrong parking and he paid the amount also. today when my husband parked the car in front of a health center and after a while when he came out he saw someone has bumped his car and there was a dent and the person who bumped the car was nt there. when my husband went to traffic dept. they are asking him to pay again 500 which he has already paid for non-parking and saying he did nt paid tht amount.the problem is in traffic dept. no one understands english and very rude people.plz help me in solving this problem.

Heavy traffic, narrow roads, lots of round abouts in each and every half kilometer is the problem which needs immediate solution. Especially in morning office time, the traffic in main roads of Doha are very jammed and hundreds of peoples are in que on the roads every day for hours. This situation is more critical when an accident occured on the road and both the vehicles parked the vehicle on road on same accidental position. Normally Doha Police not reached in time and the traffic gradually jammed to jammed condition. Lot of people are suffering on daily basis due to heavy traffic problems heady fuel consumed/charged on off road condition.

I purchased a DELL laptop from Jarir bookstore (QR2900) about 3 weeks ago for my daughters Birthday. She opened it a couple of days ago (on her Birthday) and it will not start/boot. I returned it to the store last night to have it replaced and they WILL NOT replace it. Instead, they said they will repair it. My view is that as it has not even been taken from the box it should be replaced. They say, because I have had it for more than 3 days they will only repair it. I explained it was not my daughters Birthday until now...? What nonsense is this? I spoke to the manager who would not move away from the 'company policy'. May as well have been talking to an empty suit! Is it normal for the shops in this country to treat the customer with as much contempt as they can muster.

WASHINGTON - The number of Americans who lacked reliable access to sufficient food shot up last year to its highest point since the government began surveying in 1995, the Agriculture Department reported on Monday.

In its annual report on hunger, the department said that 17 million American households, or 14.6 percent of the total, “had difficulty putting enough food on the table at times during the year.” That was an increase from 13 million households, or 11.1 percent, the previous year.
