One of my relatives found out that he has a 500 QR and 3 point fine on his car, the offense given on the MOI website being "Wrong parking on the pavement" (the translation of the Arabic version, there was no description in English) .

The location cited is near Villagio mall, but I can vouch for him that he was at home at that particular time: Because he was baby sitting my kids when me and my wife went to see a movie.

He tried to explain to the cops that it was not his car, and maybe it is a data entry mistake, but to no avail.

Now he is poorer by 500 QR and 3 points cut off his license (the guy has not had an accident or fine in 25 years of driving here), because some bright cop somewhere mixed up his numbers.

Anybody having a similar experience??

My gf will be here in doha shortly from UK. We are from different culture and background, and both family side are bit in complicated situation. So we are planning to get nikah. Can anyone tell me how do i get nikah here? Is there any islamic center or something. What the procedure? Please share.
