By atif242 on Thu, 21/05/2009 - 9:21amWELLINGTON, New Zealand - Police are looking for a New Zealand couple who disappeared after a bank mistakenly put 10 million New Zealand dollars ($6.1 million) into their account.
The couple, who ran a gas station in the northern city of Rotorua, applied to Westpac Bank for a NZ$10,000 ($6,000) overdraft and had 1000 times that amount paid into their account. The two then withdrew some of the money and disappeared, Detective Senior Sgt. David Harvey said.
Harvey said Interpol has been contacted for help, suggesting authorities believe they may have fled abroad with the cash.
‘We are currently conducting an investigation into the individuals that may have been involved in the withdrawal of that money,’ Harvey said.

Abu Dhabi Police said that the two African men, posing as "sorcerers", had left the country with the Emirati’s money.
“The victim heard from his friend in a northern emirate that two African sorcerers were available in a café which they used as their base, and had supernatural powers to multiply money,”
The national sold his house for Dh6 million & contacted his friend asking to meet the sorcerers in Abu Dhabi.
The two sorcerers met the Emirati and took the money. He gave them Dh5 million to multiply it to Dh1 billion.

Dubai: Pro-Moscow Chechen deputy prime minister Adam Delimkhanov has been accused by the chief of Dubai Police of masterminding the assassination of a former commander of a Chechen battalion in Dubai last month.
Delimkhanov, who also represents Chechnya in the lower house of Russia's parliament, is a close aide and cousin of Moscow backed Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov.
Two of six suspects, an Iranian and a Tajik, are in custody for carrying out the assassination, said Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police. The rest, three Russians and a Kazakh, are at large.

We follow the laws of the State of Qatar and we would not like to tarnish the state's image in any way or form. We have informed the artist's management that we will not be proceeding with the event scheduled to take place on the 16th of April at the Intercontinental Qatar and they communicated that they are disappointed that they could not fulfil their commitment to all the fans in Qatar.
