Salsa Qatar's annual bash is back with its "Heaven on Earth" party. Dress in white and watch a fantastic salsa competition.

The White Angels party will take place at the Pearl Lounge. Members and Ladies are free, non members pay 150 QR and it includes a complimentary drink.

Hello Ladies,

Final Casual TLG Coffee Morning for the summer will be held this Tuesday Aug 19th, 10am - 12.30pm (ie: a bit later than our usual 9.30 start.and 12pm finish)

We will have Shriani with her beautiful pearls on display and of course for sale.

There will not be any collections at this coffee morning so please keep hold of anything you may have set aside for furture TLG community relations opportunities.

A Community Reminder - Seat Belt Convincer Display at Villagio ( 'Virgin' end) running each evening this week from 5pm onward. Great Opportunity to take the family along reinforce the message to the Children and let them see you or Dad ride the convincer. DIRECTIONS TO our Casual Coffee Morning AL FARDAN GARDENS 3.
1.From Ramada Junction proceed up Salwa Rd to Decoration round-about.
2. Turn left and go straight across at the next round-about.
3. You are now on Messaimeer Rd. which is under extreme roadworks!!!
4. Proceed along this road for about 2km until you come to a small temporary round-about.
5. Turn immediately left, follow the road, and you will see AFG 3, an orange coloured compound, on the left ahead of you.
6. The Coffee Morning is in the Clubhouse just inside the compound. The gate boys will direct you to parking if necessary.

There will be an honesty box - QR15 each please to cover the cost of drinks and tip for the staff.

Please bring a small plate of food to share if you can...

Feel free to bring a friend/neighbour/visitor especially if they are new to Doha.

Dear Ladies

The next Casual Coffee Morning will be this Tuesday, 22 July and held, in the Clubhouse at Al Fardan Gardens 3. As you are aware these coffee mornings follow a slightly different format to our regular, more formal meetings and for this specific meeting there are one or two things we would be very grateful if you could bring along. Please note also, that the access to Al Fardan Gardens 3 has changed slightly since the last coffee morning. Please see below for the information Caroline, has once again, kindly put together for your guidance:

Hi Ladies,
A reminder to all of you who are still here braving the heat of a Doha summer that the second of our Casual TLG Coffee Morning will be held this Tuesday July 22nd, 10am - 12.30pm (ie: a bit later than our usual 9.30 start.and 12pm finish)

At the last coffee morning I mentioned that we would be collecting food goods that do not need refrigeration to help Fi Murray and Jill McCarthy with the work they are doing supporting some of the less fortunate workers out here. Some workers, through no fault of their own, have found themselves abandoned by their employers/sponsors, unable to work or leave the country and with no income. They are totally reliant on the goodwill of others more fortunate than themselves. I will be reading out one man`s story during the morning which explains the situation more clearly.

Suitable food which does not need refrigeration:
Rice
Dahl (lentils)
Canned fish and meats
Cooking oil/ghee
Sugar
Tea
Dried milk & canned `Rainbow` milk
Jars of pickle
Dried Spices ie: coriander, cumin, chilli, turmeric, pepper, mixed masala etc.
Plain biscuits & sweet treats that do not need refrigeration.

Fi and Jill have also asked for

* unwanted, clean bedding,
* men`s clothing (small man/teenage size as the men are of slight build)
* large-sized pots and pan/kitchen utensils for collective cooking

If you are unable to bring anything from the above list next Tuesday, I will also be putting out a separate box for donations for Fi and Jill to buy fresh goods for these men eg. frozen chickens, onions, potatoes, garlic, tomatoes etc.
