Mayon Volcano erupts -More ash explosions seen
By nicaq25 on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 10:13amLEGAZPI CITY, Philippines— The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded an ash explosion in Mayon Volcano early Wednesday, which caused ash fall in Albay towns located southwest and northwest of the volcano.
"The explosion, which occurred at around 1:58 a.m., is a clear sign of magma intrusion toward the summit crater of the volcano," said Alex Baloloy, Phivolcs science research analyst.
The explosion, which lasted for about three minutes, was accompanied by rumbling sounds. Residents in the towns of Camalig, Guinobatan, Polangui, Oas, and Ligao City reported experiencing the ash fall.
Baloloy said, however, that the height of the ash column was not recorded because clouds covered the view of the volcano and it was still dark when the explosion happened.
Filipino Song for the Holidays
By Don Robert on Tue, 10/11/2009 - 3:28pm(Sung to the tune of WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND)
Christmas rush, are you list'ning
In the lanes, cops are whist'ling
A horrible sight, another long night
Caught in a Manila Traffic Jam.
There's a jam in Ayala
There's a flood in Buendia
A bus cuts me here, a truck hits my rear
Caught in a Manila Traffic Jam.
It will be this way until Tayuman
We'll see jeepneys stopped when they should go
We'll ask, "Nasiraan?" He'll say, "No man."
Naghihintay ako ng pasahero!"
Later on, we'll perspire
As we fix a flat tire.
We're moving so slow, we can't seem to go.
Caught in a Manila Traffic Jam.
Thanks Angel!

A Bad Experienc in Manila Airport
By male_vampire on Wed, 04/11/2009 - 10:03amAlways A Bad Experience in Manila Airport
My wife from Philippines yearly we go for vacation to Philippine.
Good evening to all!
I would like to ask everyone especially the Filipinos, what is the best way to send original documents to Manila? It is just a regular brown envelope with few documents/papers/certificates of A4 in size and very light in weight.
What I meant by best is the FASTEST and CHEAPEST. Any other alternatives are welcome. In terms of speed, how many days is the fastest to the longest time it will take? Likewise, HOW MUCH will it cost me for this service? Hope you can give me an idea/estimate as to the cost.
If you have any contact/telephone numbers of these courier services who can handle my concern, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks everyone.
Why Pampanga mayors want GMA to run for Congress
Patriotism is long lost gone in the hearts of most Filipinos.

Dahandahan bang Sinisira ng Simbahang Katoliko ang Pilipinas?
By Don Robert on Mon, 02/11/2009 - 9:15amLast Wednesday (9/17/2009) Cotabato Auxiliary Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo issued a veiled warning to presidential candidate Sen. Noynoy Aquino indicating that the senator's support of the Reproductive Health Bill which he co-authored in the Philippine Senate could be detrimental to his presidential aspirations. Aquino, who currently leads the pack of presidential contenders is a strong supporter of sensible population control for his overpopulated Philippines.
