Latest news from Qatar
Philippines
One of my friends told me a story of a Filipina who was deported to go back to Philippines a couple of days ago. She exceeded the 90days grace period from the expiry date(June 2009) of her Residence Permit (RP).
Whereas the end of the 90days grace period is September 2009.
The immigration called her sponsor that the RP of this lady is expired and have to exit Qatar within 24hrs, unless the CID will catch her & bring her to jail.
So the sponsor immediately bought the ticket for that lady and immediately send her back to Philippines.

Mayon Volcano erupts -More ash explosions seen
By nicaq25 on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 10:13amLEGAZPI CITY, Philippines— The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded an ash explosion in Mayon Volcano early Wednesday, which caused ash fall in Albay towns located southwest and northwest of the volcano.
"The explosion, which occurred at around 1:58 a.m., is a clear sign of magma intrusion toward the summit crater of the volcano," said Alex Baloloy, Phivolcs science research analyst.
The explosion, which lasted for about three minutes, was accompanied by rumbling sounds. Residents in the towns of Camalig, Guinobatan, Polangui, Oas, and Ligao City reported experiencing the ash fall.
Baloloy said, however, that the height of the ash column was not recorded because clouds covered the view of the volcano and it was still dark when the explosion happened.
