6,500 USD = 24,000 QAR per month basic salary

Hi,
I am a IT/Software architect with 7 years of total experience. I am on the verge of getting a job offer from a reputed company in Doha, QATAR. I have asked for 6,500 USD basic salary plus allowances or 9,000 USD including everything. However the employer will try to negotiate a bit to bring it down. I am 30 and married with no children. Will this offer be good enough to move to Qatar?

Hi everyone,

Just a quick question for you all. I'm researching as to the average salary for a primary school teacher in Doha. I understand that many of the international schools have a scale that relates to teaching experience but I just wanted to see what people have to say.

I have been teaching for almost 3 years now and an academy recently offered me 11,000 QAR/month (with housing, flights,medical etc). Would this be average or should I 'barter' as it were?

Any help would be much appreciated

cost of living with my salary.

I am Pakistani engineer (10+ years exp) living in Muscat. I am married and have 3 children (8,5,1). Two goto school (Grade-3, KG-2)

Salary offered is

14000 QAR Basic
6000 QAR Housing allowance
580 QAR Utilities
510 QAR Education allowance
Medical for family is covered
Company maintained car is provided

Can I live comfortably and also save handsome amount in this salary. (Two bedroom+ 1 living room flat is required)

I am offered QAR 14,000 Basic salary, 582 QAR utilities, around 7000 QAR Housing, free medical, 510 QAR for children education, Company maintained car.

I am 10+ years experienced engineer. Designation offered is Senior engineer.

I am married with 3 children aged 8,5,1. Two are school going (Grade 3 and KG-2)

Is my salary ok for living in Qatar and also saving handsome amount.

Desktop Computer

I would like to buy desktop computer and visited to Lulu Hyper Market. I found one computer (brand name orange) with Acer Monitor, keyboard and Mouse cost QAR-1199.
The other Computer with same specification from HP without Monitor cost QAR 1499. I have old monitor in my house. Please suggest me which one is good which I can buy. your suggestion would appreciated.

Hi.

First of all: what kind of taxes do I have to pay for insurance (especially health insurance) and is there some kind of tax for the salary (income tax) as in Germany?

What do you personally think about the income, especially if you like spending money =)

Suitable housing in or around Doha

Salaam,
I am currently considering a move to Qatar within a couple of month.
Can anyone give tips on how find a suitable 3 bedroom compound villa or apartment preferably with facilities such as pool and gym in or around Doha.
Budget will be 12-15 thousand QAR. Will it be sufficient?

we are happy family living in Kuwait (Earning /month 5000 QAR).Now we have started to think to go to live in Qatar with good salary. Now we are collecting more and more information about how to reach Qatar and informaion about living in Qatar for a small family with 2 kids( 4yr & 1yr ).
