Walking is good medicine
By dekyo2000 on Wed, 18/11/2009 - 12:55pmI have two doctors my left and right legs
Your heart is a muscle that beats 24 hours a day for a lifetime but like all muscles it needs to be exercised so that it can pump more blood with each beat and save you energy. An unfit heart has more work to do.
Then even simple tasks like walking to the shops or carrying the shopping can become quite tiring. if you exercise aerobically, then your muscles use oxygen more efficiently, your heart pumps more blood with each beat and it does not beat as fast. Aerobic exercise is vital for your heart.
Walking is the safest and most effective aerobic exercise for your heart because it is easy to begin a walking programmed and easy to keepit up. Walking is an exercise that you can safely do for the rest of your life.
The Amazing Cucumber
By dekyo2000 on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 1:31pmThis information was in The New York Times several weeks ago as part of their "Spotlight on the Home" series that highlighted creative and fanciful ways to solve common problems.
1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.

an eyeful a day keeps the doctor away

Staring at women's breasts is good for men's health and makes them live longer, a new survey reveals.
Researchers have discovered that a 10-minute ogle at women's breasts is as healthy as a half-an-hour workout in the gym.
A five-year study of 200 men found that those who enjoyed a longing look at busty beauties had lower blood pressure, less heart disease and slower pulse rates compared to those who did not get their daily eyeful.
Dr. Karen Weathersby, who carried out the German study, wrote in the New England Journal of Medicine: "Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well endowed female is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics workout".
"Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood flow".

HPD
By Aisha on Sat, 07/11/2009 - 2:58pmThank God for the power of knowledge!
There are two people in my life that I couldn't quite understand. A woman and a man. I tried to analyze their personalities in order to understand where all the actions they do are coming from. I searched and searched and now I finally got them figured! They suffer a disorder called "Histrionic personality disorder" (HPD) , according to wikipedia and other sources..
I'm finally reliefed! I do excuse them now! I can deal with them on a regular basis soo smoothly because I won't question their intentions any more; like every one else is doing! I wont judge them! Knowledge is so powerful; it has set me free from all akwardness with these two..

child/neuro physiotherapy in Doha??
By hannah981 on Tue, 03/11/2009 - 3:03pmHiya!
Im a neuro/paediatric physio who's fairly new to Doha and am really struggling to find work. My husband has a job here but I am going nuts sitting around waiting for him to come home! I started off thinking I wanted to work in a school - but the Shafallah put the phone down on me! Then I considered hospitals - but hearing that I wouldnt be paid enough in a month to fund my groceries put me off, so I'm going down the private physio route. Does anyone know of any people out there needing my services? I would be very grateful to be pointed in the right direction or if anyone has any suggestions...!
Many thanks
