Qatar’s education system has advanced in leaps and bounds  in recent years, drawing the best in top-tier international private education. If you don’t opt for the rigorous standard of public national schooling available to all, Qatar’s private schools also offer specific British as well as American schooling paths for students between 3 to 18 years of age. In Qatar, you’ll find several British private schools offering Cambridge curriculum, IGCSE courses, and A-level options to sufficiently enable students to obtain an internationally-accredited education.

Doha Academy

With over two decades in educational testimony in Qatar, Doha Academy enjoys reputable prominence in the private international schooling scene. There are three schools that come under its umbrella: Doha Academy Al Waab branch, Doha Academy Salwa branch and Doha International Kindergarten (DIKG).

The schools follow British England’s national curriculum integrated with Islamic beliefs. Kindergarten age children experience the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in a resourceful and stimulating environment. GEMS Wellington International School

The GEMS Wellington School Qatar is modeled after the GEMS Wellington International School located in Dubai, following the National Curriculum of England. Doha British School (DBS) was established in 1997 and recognized by the British School Overseas (BSO) as one of the leading BSO’s in the world. The school is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering a comprehensive British curriculum for primary, secondary, and sixth form.

Pearling Season International School

Established in 2014, Pearling Season International School was recognized for providing quality British education to students. The school follows a British curriculum from kindergarten to Year 13, with diverse students welcomed from many nationalities. The school has two campuses: one in Al Mansoura, and a fairly newer one at Al Gharrafa.

The Royal Grammar School Guildford Qatar (RGS Qatar) was opened in 2016 in Qatar and forms a part of the prestigious Royal Grammar School, Guildford and Lanesborough Preparatory School from Surrey, UK. The school follows British curriculum for boys and girls, and offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Gheras International School was established in 2015 and has ever since been a prominent school of choice for many students in Qatar. The school also scored a high grade in the Qatar National Schools Accreditation programme conducted by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE). The curriculum followed at Gheras International School is the Oxford International Curriculum and also incorporates studies about Arab culture and international contexts in its syllabi.
