At last the hot weather is cooling down, making it the perfect time to venture outdoors and explore some of Qatar’s most beautiful parks! Read on to discover more about the parks making it to the top of our list.
1. Aspire Park

Covering 88 acres, Aspire Park is Doha’s biggest and most famous park. It is located in Aspire Zone, in the southern district of Al Waab.
With its beautiful green landscape and great facilities, the park is popular among locals and visitors.
There are playgrounds for children, running tracks for joggers, green hills, a sandy horse-riding track, and a bridge with a waterfall.
Food and drink options include two coffee shops and three food outlets, or you could always bring a picnic to enjoy on the open green grass.
Interestingly enough, Aspire has the only lake in Qatar and features paddle boats. For just QR 20 you can enjoy a ride on the lake for 15 minutes - great for kids!
Located close by are Villagio Mall, Hyatt Plaza, and the Aspire Tower - a 300-meter modern hotel, which served as a giant torch for the 15th Asian Games.
2. Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park

Open 24 hours a day, the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park is one of Qatar’s most admired and visited parks.
Located around the Museum of Islamic Art and the Arabian Gulf, it is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a picnic with family or friends or go for a long stroll - with its extensive pathway, you’re sure to hit your 10,000 steps a day!
Consisting of three play areas for children of different ages, MIA Park is a great place for children to play and keep active. There are also bungee trampolines and bicycle rentals for adults and children if you’re looking for a little more adventure.
When you get to the end of the park you can enjoy sandwiches, salads, pastries or a coffee at the Park Cafe whilst taking in the views of the amazing Doha skyline.

3. Al Bidda Park

Overlooking the Corniche, and next to the Qatar National Theatre, Al Bidda Park is one of the oldest and most visited parks in Doha.
It was closed in 2014 for renovations and reopened in 2018, for National Sports Day.
The park is pet-friendly and has acres of gardens, plenty of greenery, and barbeque stations - perfect for a family day out!
For sports enthusiasts, the park has basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts as well as jogging, walking, and bicycle paths.
Don’t own a bike? No problem! You can rent one in the park at Saikl Bike Rental, located on Fuwairit Street.
Children can enjoy playing for hours in the kid's playgrounds which are fully equipped with slides, seesaws, merry-go-rounds, playhouses, spring riders, and zip lines.
For extra convenience, the park has a few small shops and an underground car park that has space for 6,000 vehicles.
4. Hotel Park Doha

Located in the heart of West Bay, on the doorstep of Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, is Hotel Park.
This park is perfect to have a picnic, go for a stroll in the gardens, or simply to catch up with friends.
Families and individuals can enjoy open green spaces, lush water gardens, children’s play areas, restaurants and kiosks, all within modern and accessible facilities, such as restrooms and prayer rooms.
With an extensive space of 80,000 square meters, all-year-round the park frequently holds events and food festivals, all of which are open to the general public.

5. Al Khor Park

This park is a great place to escape the city hustle and bustle. Although there is a small entrance fee, the family-friendly park is well worth a visit as there’s so much to do and see!
The 240,000-sqm park consists of a mini zoo, a waterfall, a children’s play area, a battery-operated train, a restaurant, a mosque, a museum, a mini-golf area, basketball court, food kiosks, a drinking fountain, and an amphitheater.
6. Barzan Olympic Park

Just north of Doha in Umm Salal is Barzan Olympic Park.
This park is fully loaded with sports facilities and equipment, making it a dream location for adults and children interested in mainstream sports, such as football, tennis, swimming, volleyball, cycling, basketball, and floor chess.
For children, there are fully shaded play areas and picnic spots for families.
There’s a small entrance fee but it’s totally worth it as there’s so much to keep everyone entertained and active for hours!
