The 11th edition of Cityscape Qatar 2023 — the country’s flagship real estate event held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani — kicked off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) on Tuesday.

Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani inaugurated the event, which will run until October 26. Qatar’s Minister of Municipality Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie and Qatar Tourism Chairman Saad bin Ali Al Kharji also attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition, featuring over 90 local and international developers, will feature around 40 speakers sharing their insights about trends in the Qatari real estate market.

The thousands of visitors at the exhibition will get an opportunity to meet and interact with the region’s leading real estate industry players, discover new projects and conduct business with the most trusted developers in Qatar and the wider MENA region.

Developers participating in the exhibition use the event to reveal a range of major development projects in the coming years.

Qatar Living Properties, which boasts of the largest listing of properties in the country for rent and for purchase, is a major presence at this year’s event. It launched three new products — International Listings, 360 Tours and Drone Footage — at the exhibition. Patrons will be able to get latest info about the new offerings at its specially-created booth.

“Every year, the United Development Company (UDC) is proud to be part of Cityscape Qatar. As pioneers of real estate in Qatar, we’re using the latest technology, including virtual reality, to focus on digital transformation and sustainability,” said UDC Executive Director (Commercial) Hussain Akbar Al Baker.

“Our highlight this year is Gewan Island, which will be ready in the second quarter of 2024. Gewan Island will feature a mix of residential buildings, private and beachfront villas, a hotel, and a golf course,” he added.

Local and international pavilions — including the Government Pavilion represented by Invest Qatar, Ministry of Justice, Qatar Financial Center and Ministry of Interior, and International pavilions including from Egypt and India — will be on show.

As part of Cityscape Talks sessions, industry leaders will discuss latest news pertaining to Qatar investment opportunities, sustainability, digital transformation and technological disruption.

For the first time, The Cityscape WIRE (Women in Real Estate) platform will provide a special place for women offering a dedicated panel and networking event that highlights the stories, achievements and contributions of female leaders within the Qatari real estate sector.

Qetaifan Projects, Cityscape Qatar’s exclusive platinum sponsor, will announce their latest offers by which visitors can enjoy a 10% discount on cash payments for all plots, including towers and residential properties, along with flexible payment plans ranging from seven to ten years.

Some of the offers that were unveiled on Tuesday included those from Qatar Sotheby’s International Realty, Al Madar, Barwa Real Estate Group, Style Home Development, and Taj Real Estate.
