Qatar’s Meteorology Department (QMD) announced that Wednesday night marked the first night of the Hag’aa star, the third of the summer stars. The star’s ascent is expected to last 13 days.
During this period, the Indian monsoon low will dominate most of the Arabian Peninsula’s atmosphere. An increase in hot blowing winds, storms, and heat will characterise the period.
This period is also considered to be the driest period in the summer season.
Meanwhile, the QMD has come out with the weather forecast for the weekend. On Thursday, the country is expected to witness a maximum temperature of 42°C and a minimum of 34°C. The day would be hot, with slightly dusty to dusty conditions and some clouds, said the QMD.
On Friday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 43°C and the minimum at 35°C. One should expect strong winds, with poor visibility and high seas. The day would be hot to very hot, with slight to blowing dust.
Similar conditions are expected on Saturday as well, with the temperatures ranging from a low of 34°C to a high of 42°C, said the QMD.
