In line with the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, four Qatari Amiri Air Force aircraft arrived in Kabul on Wednesday carrying humanitarian assistance for around 11,000 beneficiaries. The aid, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), included two field hospitals, food, medical supplies, and shelter materials.

The assistance is part of Qatar’s ongoing air bridge to support the Afghan people following the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, which caused significant casualties and damage.

The Qatari delegation was led by Her Excellency Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation, with representatives from the Qatar Armed Forces, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar International Search and Rescue Group (Lekhwiya), and QFFD.

This initiative underscores Qatar’s continued commitment to providing humanitarian aid and supporting communities affected by natural disasters.
