Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau and Government Development, categorically ruled out rumours circulating online that Friday would start being a working day.

“There’s no truth to what is currently being circulated that Friday will be a working day, as we’re working on finding the best ways and means for working,” said Al Khalifa, during an interview with Qatar TV.

The CGB President reiterated that there was no change to the current working week structure.

Rumors had been circulating online in recent weeks regarding Qatar making Friday a working day and converting to a Saturday-Sunday weekend system.
