Customs officers at Hamad International Airport successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotic substances into the country, seizing a total of 7 kilograms of illegal drugs.
The seizure included 1 kilogram of heroin and 6 kilograms of hashish, which were cleverly concealed within automotive spare parts. The operation was initiated after a customs inspector grew suspicious of luggage belonging to passengers arriving in Qatar.
Using advanced scanning technology and a meticulous manual inspection, officers uncovered the illicit substances hidden in the cargo. The swift and efficient action by airport customs highlights their vigilance and commitment to securing Qatar’s borders against drug trafficking.
Authorities have confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, and further investigations are being conducted.
