The Hayya card is now available in digital format, thus enabling a seamless World Cup experience

Hayya card, the fan id, which grants access to all foreign and local supporters at the World Cup in 2022, has gone digital, allowing visitors to enter the country, access stadiums, and take advantage of free transportation once they arrive.

Hayya Digital Card is a free public transit card that serves as an admission permission to Qatar and enables access to metro, bus, and taxi services. On Thursday, this was stated at a news conference.

To apply for a Hayya card, citizens and residents must provide their ticket number, Qatar ID number, and date of birth information, whilst visitors must provide their ticket number, accommodation details, and personal information.

The digital form of the fan id will be available on the Hayya mobile app after it has been validated.

"For fans, the Hayya Digital Card is also available in physical form, which can be obtained from our collection points, but the digital version is adequate," said Saeed Al Kuwari, executive director of the Hayya platform.

A Hayya Match Day Pass, which is an admission permit valid for up to 48 hours from the designated arrival date, was also introduced. All international ticket holders who are in Qatar during the event will be eligible for this pass. A valid FIFA Match ticket and a valid passport are required for the Match Day Pass.

Meanwhile, Omar Al Jaber, Executive Director of Accommodation for the Supreme Committee, said that visitors can find a variety of accommodations on the website, including villas, apartments, vacation homes, fan villages, and more.

All of the villas and apartments will feature four- and five-star services, such as housekeeping, reception, luggage handling, and other amenities. Two cruise ships will dock at Doha Port, with a total of 4000 cabins available to fans. Private sectors will create fan villages at multiple locations, with complete services for guests who reserve ahead of time.

Visitors should book their accommodations early, according to Al Jaber, because there are many options to choose from.
