Israeli warplanes have carried out intense air raids on the central and northern areas of Rafah in southern Gaza, Al Jazeera Arabic is reporting.

Explosions were heard across the Gaza Strip after strikes east of Gaza City, with the correspondent noting that at least 10 air attacks also hit Khan Younis.

The Israeli occupation army launched dozens of air and artillery strikes from last night through this morning, in what Palestinian officials are calling a flagrant breach of the ceasefire agreement.
