HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani approved the Cabinet’s decision to readjust official holidays for the country.
The decision was ratified following its publication in the Official Gazette. According to the decision, these are the official holidays for ministries, other government agencies, and public bodies and institutions:
* For Eid Al-Fitr, the holiday will be from the 28th day of Ramadan to the end of the 4th day of Shawwal.
* For Eid Al-Adha, the official holidays will be from the 9th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah to the end of the 13th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah.
* The country will have a holiday when it celebrates the Qatar National Day on December 18
* If there is a single working day in between two official holidays, it would be included in the holidays as well.
* If the weekend falls between any of these celebrations, it will be included in the official holiday
