The Ministry of Municipality has intensified nationwide insect control campaigns as part of its efforts to safeguard public health and maintain a clean, healthy environment in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Between August 15 and 28, 2025, the Ministry recorded 4,022 service requests across all municipalities. Al Rayyan Municipality reported the highest number (1,122), followed by Doha (869), Al Dhaayen (735), Umm Salal (564), Al Wakra (404), Al Khor and Al Thakhira (166), Al Shamal (85), and Al Sheehaniya (77).
Requests were received through multiple channels, including the Oun mobile app (2,632 requests), the Unified Call Centre (1,313), and the Ministry’s website (77), reflecting the efficiency of its rapid-response communication system.
In addition to addressing requests, municipalities are conducting continuous preventive spraying operations alongside public awareness campaigns. These initiatives educate residents on reducing insect proliferation and promote the use of digital services like the Oun app to encourage community engagement.
Reaffirming its commitment, the Ministry stressed that regular insect control measures will continue to ensure public health remains a top national priority.
