Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari announced that Israel has agreed to a proposed ceasefire. He further added that Hamas has received the latest truce proposal in a “positive atmosphere” and “we are awaiting their response”. Hamas has said it is still studying a proposal to halt the war in Gaza as Israeli bombardment continues.

This news follows the mediation talks between Qatar, Egypt, Israel and the United States. in Paris, France.
