HH The Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and King Mohamed VI of Morocco held successful talks on bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations yesterday.
At the beginning of the talks held at the Emiri Diwan, Sheikh Tamim warmly welcomed the Moroccan royal and his delegation, reported Gulf Times. HH The Emir also warmly congratulated them for Morocco’s qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Emir and the king held a bilateral meeting during which they discussed a number of current issues and developments.
Qatar and the Kingdom of Morocco have held diplomatic relations since 1972.
Qatari and Moroccan users on Twitter hailed the royal’s stopover in Qatar, terming it the ‘Blockade Breaker.’
The hashtags #Blockade_Breaker and #KingMohammedVI were doing the rounds on Twittersphere.

Before landing in Qatar, the monarch had paid a friendly and working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 7. The moment was not lost on Twitter.
