The Qatar Meteorology Department’s (QMD) latest weather forecast shows rains — of varying intensity — will continue to fall in different parts of the country throughout the week. After last week’s huge downpour, Doha is likely to see more rainfall on Monday and Tuesday.

QMD has issued a warning to expect thundery rain, along with strong winds on Monday. The weather across the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times. There is also the chance of scattered rain accompanied by heavy thunder.

In Doha, the temperature will likely range between 25°C and 31°C.

The wind inshore will mainly blow in the northwesterly to northeasterly direction, normally at 5 to 15 knots and going up to 30 knots with thundery rain.

Offshore, the winds will blow in the northwesterly to northeasterly direction, between 3 to 13 knots gusting and up to 18 knots at times.

Qatar has seen some heavy rains and waterlogging in different parts of the city. While some people celebrated by rowing kayaks on the street, others, like a food delivery driver, were seen going about business as usual.

While some malls reported flooding and the ceilings of others dropped to the ground, the rains and thunder were well documented.

Underpasses were flooded, but that did not stop big vehicles from navigating it bravely.
