The Qatar Sports for All Federation has announced an extensive lineup of summer activities for 2025, featuring the participation of 27 entities from various ministries, authorities, and institutions across the country.

During a Press conference, the Federation detailed its summer calendar, which will run from June 29 to August 7. Activities will be hosted in club halls, playgrounds, youth centers, and public parks, targeting all age groups and segments of society.

The program will include fitness sessions, self-defense classes (Muay Thai), chess, recreational activities for children, and camps offering awareness sessions and swimming instructions.

The summer program, accessible via the Sports for All Federation app, will culminate in championships across six different sports, emphasizing competition and sportsmanship. Martial arts training, including Muay Thai for boys aged 7 to 14, will be conducted at several clubs and youth centers — Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, Al Ahli, and Qatar Club, as well as centers in Simaisma, Barzan, Al Dhaayen, and Al Dhakira, over six weeks.

The Sports for All Summer Camp 2025 will target children aged 6 to 11 and feature sports, awareness, and religious programs. Children will learn about healthy eating, participate in speed and strength exercises, football, recreational games, and Muay Thai, along with educational workshops to develop skills and positive behaviors.

A key focus is the 365 Days of Activity program, offering daily fitness classes for men at Aspire Park, Al Gharafa Park, and Al Rayyan Park, and for women at Al Luqta Park. This initiative caters to participants aged 7 to 65.

The calendar will also feature the ‘Learn to Swim for All Summer Program’ for children aged 7 to 12, held in partnership with sports clubs at equipped pools under the supervision of specialized trainers. Sessions will take place at Al Arabi and Al Wakrah Clubs, and at the Al Jamiliya Youth Center.

A new edition of the ‘Your Healthy Weight’ program will be held every Wednesday from July 2 to August 20, in collaboration with the Al Dana Center for Girls. The summer will conclude with several tournaments to promote competitiveness and community participation, including volleyball at Katara Beach, chess at the Chess Training Center, and competitions in table tennis, baby foot, football, and fitness.

Qatar Sports For All Federation’s Executive Director Abdullah Al Dosari said he was pleased to unveil the calendar of summer events.

“The summer program is an annual community initiative under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, aiming to reach as many areas and community members as possible and promote physical activity through diverse offerings. Our partners have played a huge role in ensuring the program’s success,” he said.

“Our activities in neighborhood playgrounds, such as walking, running, and football training, are designed to encourage healthy lifestyles in residential areas,” he added.

Al Dosari also emphasized the Federation’s commitment to women’s sports, announcing a women’s sports evening every Tuesday at Education City in cooperation with Qatar Foundation.

The five-week event will offer fitness exercises, stretching, walking, and team sports like badminton and volleyball in a private setting. The Federation is also collaborating with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to provide sports and recreational activities for school students aged 6 to 16 during morning hours at various schools and facilities.

The Federation will also participate in the ‘Kafu’ Summer Camp with the Eid Cultural Center and Raed Moheb Camp, as well as other events like ‘Kaaban Girls’ and ‘My Scientific Summer’ in partnership with the Qatar Scientific Club for children aged 7 to 14.

This comprehensive summer program underscores the Federation’s ongoing commitment to promoting health, wellness, and community engagement across Qatar.
