The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) has issued a high-risk cyber alert after Samsung disclosed a critical security vulnerability affecting devices running the Android operating system.
The flaw, linked to the image processing mechanism, could allow attackers to remotely execute malicious commands. Experts have warned that the vulnerability is already being exploited in advanced attacks, with some incidents observed in combination with a recently reported WhatsApp security flaw.
The vulnerability affects Samsung devices operating on Android versions 13, 14, 15, and 16. The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and Samsung strongly urge all users to install the latest security updates as soon as they are released to minimize exposure to cyber risks.
