Starting today, Simaisma Beach will be closed for five years to make way for the ambitious “Simaisma” tourism project by Qatari Diar. Located about 40 kilometers north of Doha, this landmark development aims to redefine tourism and leisure in Qatar by offering a unique, year-round experience for both visitors and residents.

Spanning approximately 8 million square meters and stretching along a 7-kilometer scenic coastline, the project will blend Qatar’s natural coastal beauty with cutting-edge technologies—such as an innovative outdoor cooling system—to ensure comfort across all seasons.

The Simaisma development will feature 16 distinct tourist zones, including a variety of resorts across four main areas, each boasting its own architectural style and identity. This venture is set to become one of Qatar’s most iconic future tourism destinations.
