The U.S. Embassy in Doha strongly encourages all U.S. citizens currently residing in or visiting Qatar to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at http://step.state.gov. STEP is a free service that provides timely security updates and facilitates communication during emergencies. Enrolling in the system helps U.S. Embassies and Consulates better assist U.S. citizens in times of crisis.
