The QL Adventures team continue their mission of finding and trying some of Qatar's most unique activities. In this new episode Shaun is joined by co-host Becca to try the Filipino Martial Art known as Pekiti Tirsia Kali.

The fighting art form has made it way from Phillipines all the way to the shores of Doha as the team speak to country representive Doc Alex about the unique and important history of Pekiti Tirsia Kali. The club has existed in Qatar since 2016 and continues to grow, not just amongst expat filipinos, but other nationalities as well.

One of the students we spoke to, who's roots are in Netherlands and the USA, found the club by searching for Kali on Facebook, showing that the interest is indeed global.

The fighting art form focuses on both bare hand defence, as well as bladed and impact weaponry training.

Open to all age groups, the club the club limits the teachings based on the age due the involvement of impact orientated weapons, ensuring training is applicable to their age bracket.
