The Qatar national basketball team is currently engaged in a high-intensity overseas training camp in Turkiye, led by Coach Hakan Demir, to prepare for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Concluding on July 3, the camp, supervised by the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF), focuses on enhancing the team's technical skills, physical conditioning, and tactical execution. Qatar is placed in Group A with Australia, Lebanon, and South Korea.
According to the official schedule announced by FIBA Asia, Qatar will open their campaign against Lebanon on August 6, followed by a clash with South Korea on August 8. Al Annabi will round off the group stage with a challenging encounter against Australia on August 10. Only the group winners will qualify directly for the quarterfinals, while second and third-place teams will face off in knockout matches for the remaining spots — making each game a critical step toward the title.
Following the camp in Turkiye, the team will have domestic training in Doha, another international camp in South Korea with friendly matches, and a final tune-up tournament in Lusail against Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Japan.
