Exploring Gelli Plate Printing: The Essentials for Beginners with Haifa Al Khuzaei

In this hands-on workshop, participants will dive into the exciting world of Gelli plate printing, a fun and versatile technique for creating stunning, textured prints. We'll explore how to use a Gelli plate, paints, and various tools to create vibrant layers, bold patterns, and unique designs on paper.

Haifa Al Khuzaei is a Qatari artist and former art teacher with over 20 years of experience at Qatar’s Ministry of Education. Her work has been exhibited locally and internationally. She was part of the Paris residency with Fire station in 2019 and was a Ruwad resident in 2024. Her work consists of paintings, prints and Ceramic sculptures inspired by the Qatari culture. Be ready to unleash your creativity and explore the world of printmaking in a fun and relaxed environment!

A Seat at the Table: Food & Feasting in the Islamic World Exhibition

Featuring over 100 objects, the exhibition is divided into five main sections, each accompanied by a video of a contemporary chef preparing a dish rooted in their culinary heritage.
