People come in flocks to Qatar in dreams of earning big money. However, saving money especially in this country can be quite a tough task.
With rents of apartments sky rocketing and spending on everything else burning a hole in your wallet, here are a few tips on how you could save some money.
1-Know what you need and what you can live without. Most of the things we buy aren’t exactly what we need. Make a list of all what are essential and stick to that.
2- Make use of offers and discounts. There are plenty of sites that advertise offers and many times stores come up with promotions. Try to get the full benefits of them.
3- Go for second hand. No matter how long you stay here, there would be a time when you’d ultimately return back to your country. So use our classifieds section to come across second hand items.
4-Would you like to get a car? Wait until the end of the academic year when many expats leave the country to buy one for a good price.
5-Say no to the credit card. Try to pay as much as you can with cash and avoid carrying the credit card with you.
6-Compare prices between stores and find what sort of items could be found for a lesser price in which store.
7-Limit how many times you’d eat out for a week.
The above are just a few tips on saving money in Qatar. Do you have any more tips to share?
