Post Image

The Torba Farmers Market is back featuring a variety of stalls to shop for fresh local produce, plants, flowers, food and beverages, cool souvenirs, household essentials and more! The market also includes a play area for kids and exciting games for everyone.

This year’s market encourages visitors to adopt a sustainable zero-waste lifestyle by including refill stations, a mug library and eco-friendly packaging for all products. Taking place every Saturday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm next to Oxygen Park, the market is a pet-friendly and a fun-filled communal space for everyone.

Here is a list of things to do at the Torba Farmers Market this season.

Buy fresh local produce

It’s the season when local farms bring out their bountiful supply of fresh organic produce. Visit the stalls set up by local farms and shop for your day-to-day produce.

Farms at Torba Farmers Market:

  • Heenat Salma Farm
  • Alshamal Farm
  • Al Waha Farm'

Stock up on household essentials at the refill station

Keeping sustainability in mind, the market also features a refill station to stock up on household essentials such as hand wash, floor cleaner, dishwashing liquid, disinfectant, multipurpose cleaning liquid and more. You can bring your own container or pick a glass jar and fill it up with the product of your choice.

This marks another initiative by Torba Farmers Market in line with their ‘zero waste’ theme.

Shop for flowers and plants

Beautifying your home with plants and flowers is a quintessential task this season. The market offers you a rich variety of plants, flowers, flower bouquets and even native plants that you can shop for. If you are up for some gardening, some of the stalls offer cool gardening equipment as well.

Explore local vendors

There are many local vendors selling homemade products such as baked goods, refreshing drinks, organic bites and even candles, bath oils and soap. Visit a stall run by a local vendor and check out the variety of products available.

Encourage young entrepreneurs at the Torba Juniors section

The Torba Juniors area features young budding entrepreneurs selling a range of products from homemade goodies to paintings. Encourage your little ones to start their entrepreneurial journey early by visiting these stalls and checking out their products.

Try the workshops and activities on site

Tap into your creativity by joining one of Torba’s workshops. Give the pottery wheel a spin to make your own mug or try your hand at botanical art drawing. Torba Farmers Market features a range of fun workshops every week including activities like art, cooking and gardening for all ages.

Head over to the Torba Farmers Market Instagram page to see what workshops will be available for the coming week.

Enjoy the food and beverages

Torba Farmers Market has a wide variety of food and beverage options featuring homemade delicacies, organic food, artisanal dishes, coffees, hot chocolate and more.

Besides the Torba Kitchen and Torba Café, food and beverage vendors change every week. Food and beverage vendors who will be present are announced weekly on the Torba Farmers Market Instagram page.

Visit the mug library

The mug library features a selection of pre-loved mugs that you can use during your visit. Opting for a pre-loved mug to enjoy your beverages ensures that zero waste is generated at the Torba Farmers Market. The mug library also includes a washing station to clean and sanitize the mugs once done.

Alternatively, you can bring your own spare mug to be used at the market and donate it to the library if you wish.

Check out the dog lounge

If you are a dog owner, you can bring along your fur babies and head out to the dog lounge, a dedicated space for dogs to enjoy some food, rest and play!

Do remember that dogs aren’t allowed after 3:00 pm at Torba.

Have fun at the carnival games

Test your skills at the carnival games. Enjoy a game of ring toss or some shooting if you’re confident in your aim. Win yourself a cute soft plushy before heading out. Carnival games are an excellent opportunity to let off some steam after an exhilarating day of shopping!

Buy a cool souvenir

Before you leave, treat yourself to a unique souvenir. Take your pick, though you may be interested in a custom mug, a pin with a cool quote, a personalized laptop cover and more. Torba Farmers Market has a number of vendors that sell products that can be customized to your liking.
