Gift Shed: an aspiring brand born out of passion and strong belief in making life's special moments worth remembering.

Gift Shed is a Qatari lifestyle concept brand for the community. They specialize in premium quality gifts, party items, wrapping stations, greeting cards, fashion stationery, and customized corporate gifts for every season and occasion all year round.

Under the leadership of Ms. Joy Alvarez, the Group CEO of Shift WLL (parent company) and the General Manager of Gift Shed, the business has experienced growth in its 4th year of operation since it opened its doors on December 13, 2017.

Even with the significant challenges that the great pandemic imposed on businesses, Gift Shed was able to defy the odds and convert it into an opportunity with a substantial turnaround in its operations.

This year, Gift Shed successfully expanded by opening four pop-up shops with the mission of bringing its unique gifting experience one step closer to its customers in prime locations and stores along with its revamped e-commerce website in Doha, Qatar:

• Salam Studio & Stores (The Gate Mall)
• Galleries La Fayette (Katara)
• Alif Bookstore
• Virgin Megastore (Villaggio)

With a strong vision of sustainable growth, Gift Shed joined hands with well-known corporate brands in Qatar, including major banks, government entities, and private entities, to provide customized gifting services for major occasions and events celebrated throughout the year 2021.

Gift Shed attributes its success to its strong vision, "to be the household brand in the 'Gifting Arena' not only in Qatar but beyond its borders". Gift Shed's vision encourages and provides a platform for the local Qatari artists and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and creativity while becoming the 1st choice of customers for gifting and customized corporate gifts.

Co-Founder, Ms. Hema Pathak Vara said " The Gift Shed dream started in a small wooden hobby shed in our little back garden where we made handmade gifts and beautifully wrapped these to give to loved ones. Our shed became a happy place bringing together family and friends in celebration and being a little sanctuary of creative thoughts. It really was here where the idea of Gift Shed was born. We had a dream of replicating our shed on a larger scale for our local community, and it has been beautiful to see this grow into something beyond what we imagined”.
