The Al Sailiya Central Market is one of the most bustling markets in Qatar! Located approximately 20 km away from Doha, the market is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The market is managed by Aswaq, a subsidiary of Hassad Food.

The new market in Al Sailiya is split into three different sections – Wholesale (A), Retail (B) and Traditional (C). All these sections offer a wide variety of local and imported fresh fruits and vegetables and household products.

Wholesale Market (A)

Fruits and vegetables in the wholesale section are normally available in big boxes and can be purchased in bulk, which offers more value for money.

While some vendors sell a variety of products, others specialize in one or two.

Retail Market (B)

This section offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that are freshly packed and available for sale – all under one roof.

The shopping experience is pleasant thanks to the air-conditioned area and convenient as the necessary items can be acquired within a short time period.

Also, some vendors in this section do offer taste tests of fruits before making the purchase.

Traditional Market (C)

The traditional market, famously known as the Omani Souq offers several household commodities ranging from handmade accessories to spices, dates, honey, and much more!

These traditional handmade accessories are made from jute.

Additionally, Al Meera Wholesale located within the new central market offers items only in bulk quantities at reasonable prices.

Widam Food, offers local and imported fresh meat.

There’s also a mini fish market with various kinds of fresh fish and seafood. .

Visit Al Sailiya Central Market and make use of all the available essentials and unique traditional items for your home!
