The Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition is one of the largest and fastest-growing luxury exhibitions in the entire Middle East region.
Moving with the times, the show has been rebranded as the ‘Qatar Show’ for pearls, watches and jewellery.
The latest edition of the prestigious event will kick off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre on February 20, reported Gulf Times.
DJWE’s rebrand reflects the evolution of the event into an international show offering visitors a global luxury experience, and the beginning of a new chapter where #QatarShow takes on a more prestigious role as a leading player in the global jewellery market. pic.twitter.com/oTbscxY5tK

The show, which will be held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, will feature more than 500 brands, from 10 nations, and will run until February 25.
“We’re beginning a new chapter with the launch of a new brand identity for the exhibition, including a new brand name ‘Qatar Show,'” said Qatar National Tourism Council’s Director of Exhibitions Ahmed Al Obaidli.
The six-day business-to-consumer event will feature, for the first time, an Indian pavilion. This is being put up to mark the India-Qatar Year of Culture 2019 and will showcase works from across the subcontinent, reported Qatar Tribune.
This year, there will also be more local talents at the Young Qatari Designer (YQD) initiative.
Indian designers will showcase their latest and most exquisite jewellery, curated for the local community.
The Young Qatari Designers initiative will see 12 local designers presenting their creations in a pavilion dedicated to showcasing Qatari talent. Qatar Show affords Qatari designers a unique platform to showcase their work alongside leading domestic and international brands.
Some workshops will also be held alongside the exhibition. French watchmaking expert Objectif Horlogerie will return for a third year to engage watch connoisseurs in a hugely popular master watch workshop — Discover Watchmaking.
A gemmology workshop will cover basic knowledge of diamonds and coloured gems. Another popular workshop will be the hands-on jewellery making workshop by master craftsmen.
Iconic French auction house Artcurial will offer watch enthusiasts, visitors, and collectors with free consultations and valuations. An expert gemmologist will also be at hand to provide free consultation for visitors purchasing gemstones from the show.
Returning to exhibit this year are Qatar’s premier jewellery patrons — Alfardan Jewellery, Ali Bin Ali Group, Al Majed Jewellery, Amiri Gems and Fifty One East.
