From scorching heatwaves to sudden sandstorms and heavy rainfall, extreme weather is becoming a bigger part of everyday life in Qatar. But how does it really affect the way people move around the city?

A new research study by Qatar University is exploring how residents make travel decisions during severe weather conditions—and your experience matters.

What’s the Study About?

This survey looks at how people adapt their daily travel when faced with challenging weather. It focuses on real-life decisions such as:

  • Choosing whether to travel at all
  • Changing travel times to avoid harsh conditions
  • Switching between transport options like Doha Metro, public buses, Karwa taxis, private cars, bicycles, and e-scooters

By understanding these choices, the study aims to support better transport planning and more resilient mobility solutions for Qatar’s future.

Who Can Take Part?

If you live in Qatar and commute—whether daily or occasionally—your input can help shape valuable insights into how weather impacts mobility across the country. The survey can be completed in Arabic or English.
