Here are the steps you need to follow: 

If your driving license has been damaged:

1. Log in to your Metrash2 mobile application, select ‘Traffic’.
2. Select ‘License Service’ and then select ‘Replace Lost/Damaged License’.
3. Select the type of service: ‘Damaged’, and then enter your QID number.
4. You can select either you want it to pick up from the traffic department near you or get it delivered via Qatar Post (Charges: 20 Qatari Riyals).
5. Enter your credit/debit card details for payment and you will get an SMS confirming your application.

This will take around a week and if you have chosen to collect it from the traffic department, take your ID card, passport size photos, and the damaged license with you. For Qataris, the charges are 500 Qatari riyals (10-year validity) and for residents, it is 250 Qatari Riyals (5-year validity) for license replacement.

If your driving license has been lost: 

1. Visit your nearest police station to report the loss of your driving license.
2. The police officer will give you a letter/report and you might be asked to come back after two weeks or less. 
3. On the returning date you have to bring your lost license copy (if available), QID card copy, your passport size photos, and the letter/report by the police.
4. You will have to pay a fee of 250 Qatari Riyals by your credit card or debit card only and in this way, you will get your new driving license.

Also, what you can do is report it to the police station/traffic department so that it is in the system and then:

1. Log in to your Metrash2 mobile application, select ‘Traffic’.
2. Select ‘License Service’ and then select ‘Replace Lost/Damaged License’.
3. Select the type of service: ‘Lost’, and then enter your QID number.
4. You can select either you want it to pick up from the traffic department near you or get it delivered via Qatar Post (Charges: 20 Qatari Riyals).
5. Enter your credit/debit card details for payment and you will get an SMS confirming your application. 

This will take around a week depending on what you have chosen, either you chose to collect it or get it delivered to your home.
