Over the last few months, there have been many unsubstantiated rumours floating around social media and the internet aimed at creating mischief within the country.
While none of them can be traced back to its origins, people have been advised to be cautious about such rumours.
Qatar’s Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) came down hard on such a rumour yesterday.
MADLSA strongly denied the fake news spreading on social media that the Labour Inspection Department was organising a gathering for workers in front of MADLSA premises to modify their wage system, according to Gulf Times.
MADLSA urged all concerned parties to confirm the credibility of all information and announcements from official sources before publishing it in the media, reported The Peninsula.
