If you are thinking of washing your cars this weekend, it would be prudent to put it off for another day or two.

This is because the country’s Met Department has warned people of light scattered rains around Qatar on Thursday and Friday, according to Gulf Times.

The department, in a Tweet, said there was also a marine warning in place for strong winds and thundery rain on the same days. Offshore winds are expected to go up to 25 knots per hour, and the sea is likely to rise above 7ft.

Today’s forecast shows cold conditions once again prevailing at night, followed by mild conditions during the day and some clouds.

Today, the minimum temperature is expected to be 12°C in Abu Samra, Al Wakrah, Mesaieed and Al Khor, 13°C in Dukhan, 15°C in Doha and 16°C in Ruwais.

The maximum temperature will range from 22°C in Al Ruwais to 26°C in Doha and other places.

Meanwhile, strong winds and high seas are expected in offshore areas lying to the Northeast by this afternoon, the weather office said. The speed of northwesterly winds may go up to 25 knots, with the sea level rising to 8ft.
