1. Cityscape Qatar 2019

The eighth edition of Cityscape Qatar runs until October 24, 2019, at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

This three-day event is popular for being the barometer of the capital’s property sector, responsible for nurturing partnerships and creating opportunities that drive development and investment across the country.

This is the only property event of its kind in the country that allows investors, homebuyers, and industry professionals to engage in a dynamic environment that also offers insight into the future of Qatari and Middle East real estate.

2. Gipsy Kings - Live in Qatar

Gipsy Kings by André Reyes are coming for the first time in Qatar on October 24, 2019, at Qatar National Convention Centre.

Gipsy Kings is a Grammy-winning band of flamenco, salsa, and pop musicians from the south of France.

It has been many years since the Gipsy Kings embraced the world’s imagination with their album “Gipsy Kings” - a record that became a genuine sensation, certified gold and platinum around the globe, exciting millions of listeners with a unique and captivating fusion of styles.

“World Music” is the right term to describe the talent as this is the authentic blend incorporating elements of Latin and Cuban styles, Arabic music, reggae and jazz guitar as well as transmitting history and culture in their melodies.

This broad cultural mix has enabled the Gipsy Kings to capture the audience of any age between 18 to 60 years wherever they play, from China to Brazil, New Orleans to Russia, and Australia to Africa creating the huge demand for their distinctive style and having sold almost 20 million records worldwide.

Their music performances are burning and passionate, an expression of happiness, how “Gipsy Kings” face up to life.

3. 2019 World Superbike Championship

The annual World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) visit to Qatar is a spectacular event, with the action taking place at night under the floodlights of the Losail International Circuit.

For the sixth year in a row, Losail International Circuit will host the finale of the WorldSBK from October 24-26, 2019, with evening races scheduled on Friday and Saturday.

The first WorldSBK round was held in Qatar in 2005, with Troy Corser winning Race 1 on the Suzuki GSXR1000 K5 and his teammate Yukio Kagayama emerging victorious from Race 2.

4. Beno Saradzic in Qatar

Fujifilm Qatar and Techno Blue in association with Youth hobbies Center are proud to present the “Slicing Time” photography seminar by the world-renowned photographer, Beno Saradzic.

18 years as a professional 3D Architectural Visualizer, trained the Slovenian born cinematographer and photographer’s eye in the ‘art of seeing’.

He established himself as a self-taught, multi-specialist artist, and becoming an authority for distinctive realizations in the field of photography, 3D CGI (digital art), and time-lapse filmmaking.

His insatiable quest for knowledge and perfection through ceaseless practice led him deep into the rabbit hole of visual arts.

Beno has worked with many prominent and international companies including the BBC Natural History Unit, the Discovery Channel, and he was also featured on Nat Geo as well as in dozens of publications around the world.

He is a speaker, instructor, multiple winners, and a judge of numerous photography competitions. Among his most notable accolades, Beno is an Emmy Nominee, Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) winner, Silver Dolphin (Cannes) winner, and the Gold World Medal winner (New York Film Festival).

5. BigB Meetup 4.0

The fourth edition of BigB Meetup is back! The theme of this edition is “Sustainability”.

Activities include a panel discussion on sustainability, painting workshop for children (click here for registration), upcycling project display and demo, and artwork expo of recycled materials. 

6. Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition

Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, Qatar’s most popular showcase of abayas and traditional Arabian attire, will return for its 16th edition this month with a rich program of more than 20 fashion shows, seminars, designer workshops and 250+ brands participating in this exciting array of fashion.

The event is delivered by Design Creationz, with the support of the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), as part of its effort to empower the private sector to attract and host global events.

The exhibition continues to be the go-to platform for Qatari designers to showcase their designs, with Qatari brands representing 75% of participants, the highest percentage of local participation ever recorded to date. This year’s edition also features international brands from 11 countries, representing 4 continents including neighboring Kuwait and Oman as well as India, Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco, China, Indonesia, Italy, and Georgia.

Offering a unique flavor of Arabian heritage, the Autumn/Winter 2019 show will see returning brands including Debaj, Harlienz, the Hammadies, Al Dukan and Maryam Al Darwish, as well as Zoogha from Kuwait, Samar Secrets from Lebanon, Endemage from Oman, Beenas from India and Bocan from Turkey.

Heya 16 also features a number of new exhibitors including UVA, Signature design, A’s Qatar, Kyra collection, Atelier Zuhra, and Malo to name a few.

Heya is open for women only except on the opening day (October 25), during which men can accompany family members. Children below the age of 13 cannot enter the exhibition.

7. Hungarian Piano Concert

If you're one with an inclination toward classical music, then you don't want to miss out on the chance to attend the inaugural Virtuosos concert in Doha. 

Organized by the Hungarian Embassy in the State of Qatar, the National Cultural Fund of Hungary and Katara Cultural Village, the Hungarian Piano Concert will feature winning Virtuosos talents, Misi Boros and Soma Balázs-Piri.

The stars of the evening, 14-year-old Boros and 15-year-old Balázs-Piri are all set to vow audiences with their exceptional art and electrifying performance.

Virtuosos, as an idea, movement, and organization, works for the future of classical music. The movement shapes its journey with the help of these talented musicians featured in this concert, along with many other talents discovered in the previous 5 seasons of the show.

The two young champions of classical music have taken the stage for Virtuosos several times in cities including, New York, Milan, Paris, Stockholm, Brussels, Zurich, Tokyo, Osaka, Islamabad, Beijing, and Budapest.

In Shenzhen, China 214 million people watched Asia Music Festival featuring the talent, Misi Boros.

In Szeged, an audience of 6000 people gave a standing ovation to Soma Balázs-Piri, after playing his piano piece as a guest performer at the concert of Placido Domingo, conducted by the Maestro himself.
