Job Description
Halamama, a premium e-commerce platform in Qatar, is hiring an Assistant Buyer – Mom & Baby. The role involves managing the Mom & Baby category end-to-end, including sourcing, inventory control, vendor coordination, and product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard new brands and products for the Mom & Baby category, including essentials (diapers, feeding supplies) and gear (strollers, car seats).
- Research market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to introduce new and innovative products.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from introduction to discontinuation, using data analysis to optimize assortment.
- Monitor daily sales and inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
- Consolidate daily orders and generate accurate purchase orders (POs) for smooth procurement.
- Develop strategies to clear aged or slow-moving inventory and maintain healthy stock turnover.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, including negotiation and term management.
- Actively seek out and evaluate new suppliers to expand the product range and improve cost efficiency.
- Resolve product damages, quality issues, and customer complaints in coordination with suppliers.
- Coordinate with vendors on product information, new launches, and promotional activities.
- Work with the marketing team to plan and execute new product launches on time.
- Ensure product information, images, and marketing assets are available for launch campaigns.
- Maintain launch and purchase trackers to ensure smooth execution from order placement to product launch.
